I am glad the Miami Heat and Le Bron James won the NBA Trophy a second time. As an individual born in Ohio and living in Miami, Florida, this was justice served for the acts of repudiation committed against Le Bron when he moved from Cleveland to Miami.
I write this recognizing that Le Bron James should have handled his move from Cleveland to Miami without a special ESPN show. At the same time, the reaction to Le Bron James decision to move was appalling.
There was no excuse for Ohio [especially the Cleveland/Akron area] to behave uncivilized. The burning of the Cleveland Cavalier shirt with Le Bron James number was reminiscent of Castro supporters in Cuba insulting those who wanted to leave Cuba.
The burning of the Le Bron Cleveland Cavalier shirts could also be remniscent of the time Hitler ordered the burning of books in Germany. It did not have to happen in a state that gave the country eight presidents and a Man on the Moon.
